Hi! I'm Phaea.
I write silly picture books for silly kids. Serious kids, too!
My debut picture book JET THE CAT (IS NOT A CAT) was published by Barefoot Books in May 2021. My graphic novel-style picture book, SUPER PIZZA & KID KALE from Viking Books was delivered piping hot in September 2022. In 2023, my books STITCH CRASHES DISNEY (Disney Books) and LA GATA JET (NO ES UNA GATA) —the Spanish version of JET) hit the shelves. And coming spring and summer of 2025 are two books I'm very excited about: OH DEER (Sleeping Bear Press) and PRINCESS BATTLE ROYALE (Viking Books).
As a neurodiverse writer with dyslexia and ADHD, I'm proud to demonstrate that disabilities don't have to stand in the way of dreams. I hope to connect with kids and adults who think they can't write—and convince them that they can!
